Born in Philadelphia in 1987, Marlene Frontera lives and works in Brooklyn. She received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and her Masters at Elisava Escola Universitaria de Disseny in Barcelona. She has had solo and two-person exhibitions at Lubov Gallery and Know More Games in New York, and internationally at Embajada, Puerto Rico and Weird Things Gallery, Toronto. She has shown widely in group exhibitions throughout New York, including shows at 247365, Jack Barrett Gallery, and Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery, among others. Frontera has published two books of her drawings and paintings, 'Santo Shoes' with the San Francisco based Sonatina Press, and 'I Go Go Back and Forth' with New York risograph house Soft City Press.
